The Philips CitiScape Uptown (SHL5905) And Shibuya (SHL5200) Headphones – Philips headphones were never very popular with audiophiles, but to no avail: the company had many successful models that could compete in sound quality with the best creations of giants such as Sennheiser or AKG (which is only the legendary SHP9000).
Unfortunately, Philips has gradually moved away from the classic headset industry in recent times, shifting to mobile phone headsets. Today we are going to take a look at two such headsets belonging to both the CitiScape line – Uptown and Shibuya.
Traditionally, headsets for phones are made in the form of “earphones” or “plugs”. But the Philips products we’re looking at are relatively large on-ear headphones – circumaural in the case of Uptown and supraaural in the case of Shibuya. The comparative characteristics of these headphones are as follows.
